Thank you for all the thoughtful cards and gifts we have received this week. From all of us in Class 2, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Today has been a wonderful and productive day in Class 2. This morning, we completed writing our instructions on how to look after a baby penguin. The children worked hard to include all the key features of instruction writing, creating step-by-step guides on how to feed, play with, and wash their penguin pals. In Art, we embraced the festive spirit again by using collage techniques to make adorable snowmen. The children enjoyed exploring different textures to create their unique designs, resulting in some truly delightful creations. This afternoon, we celebrated with a cozy treat. The class enjoyed a festive film with hot chocolate and popcorn. Thank you once again for all your support this term. We hope you have a fantastic Christmas break.

We have had a lovely week thinking about Winter and also the festival of Christmas. The children started their week by making Christingle oranges for our service. The reception children also wrote Christmas lists and made a nativity scene which helped them to retell the story orally. Year one wrote letters to Father Christmas and enjoyed trying to use adjectives when describing their jumpers on Wednesday. They have completed Christmas problem solving tasks in maths and did some winter themed addition and subtraction. We hope you like the decorations and Christmas crafts that the children have brought home from art sessions. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the Class One team for all of the wonderful Christmas cards and gifts that you have so kindly given us. We are so grateful and truly overwhelmed! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Mrs Espinosa Pardo

Today, Class 2 embraced the festive spirit by creating beautiful Christmas cards as part of their Design and Technology learning. The children focused on detailed and careful colouring, ensuring their designs were suitably festive. They also showcased a range of practical skills, including folding, sticking, and creating a moving part. The children carefully fixed a lolly stick with a split pin, allowing the cards to include a moving Father Christmas! The effort and precision they put into their work were truly impressive, and the results speak for themselves—the cards look absolutely fabulous! This activity not only allowed the children to express their creativity but also helped them develop key skills like patience, attention to detail, and problem-solving. Well done to Class 2 for their hard work and wonderful creations!
