Class 4 Residential
Let's get ready to have some fun!
On Monday, Class 4 will be heading off for their Mersea Residential 2024. I have attached a copy of Kit List and a copy of The Mersea Info Parentmail below, just in case anyone has lost theirs.
This trip is going to be filled with fantastic experiences, great memories and a whole lot of fun! Children will still be expected to be ready, respectful and safe to ensure that we can enjoy every minute of our trip!
Here is the Kit List if you need it:

Clothes and Shoes
Nightwear / Warm Pyjamas (when camping it can get cold at night)
Underwear and socks (please note that for many activities, socks will need to
cover your ankles)
Trousers / leggings for activities (not jeans)
Shorts (summer groups, knee length for all activities)
1 pair of trainers for activities (Crocs, Sliders and Flip Flops not suitable)
1 pair of shoes for water sports (preferably old trainers)
Pair of dry shoes for evening activities
Fleeces / sweatshirts for activities
Long sleeved shirt/t-shirts (for activities where arms need to be covered)
T-shirts
1 or 2 sets of clothes for the evening (disco if one is booked)
Warm anorak or similar
Wellington / waterproof walking boots (optional, winter groups)
Swimwear including towel
Other Items
Sleeping bag Season 3 or duvet, pillow and single bottom sheet (unless
otherwise advised)
One towel for showering
One old towel for wet / muddy activities
Labelled bin bags for wet and dirty clothing
Wash bag (including soap, shampoo and toothpaste)
Torch and Batteries
Pen, Pencil and Writing Paper
Day Bag
Small rucksack / bag
Plastic drinks bottle
Waterproof jacket / cagoule (and trousers if you have them)
Baseball hat / sun hat
Hat and gloves
Sunscreen (summer groups)
Please be aware that on certain activities clothing will get wet and muddy!
All clothing items should be named to avoid loss and should be packed in a kit
bag or rucksack that should also be labelled and named.
It is strongly advised that mobile phones, MP3 players, jewellery and watches
are left at home; these valuable items are easily lost or damaged at camp and
can cause concern to leaders and campers alike.
Lost property is kept for 2 weeks before being disposed of.

To confirm, drop off is at Mersea Essex Outdoors site at 10am on Monday 20th May and pick up from Mersea at 2 pm on Wednesday 22nd May.
I have attached a full kit list for your information. Some activities require specific clothing. Please ensure that your child brings swimwear (and a towel) and that their shorts are at least mid-thigh to ensure that harnesses are comfortable.
Please review the forecast for that week and ensure that your child packs appropriate weather clothing.
They will need to bring a packed lunch with them for their first day, including a refillable water bottle to use throughout their stay.
The children will be given dinner on drop off day, 3 meals on Tuesday plus breakfast and lunch on pick up day.
I have also attached an emergency contact sheet just for the Residential Trip. It is vital that you provide us with your child's full medical needs/conditions and NHS number in case of emergency. If you are not sure of this, please contact your GP. We will require 5 emergency contacts for the duration of this trip.
Any prescription medication must be provided in a pharmacist's labelled container, in a clearly named sealed bag/box for safety.
Snacks (at lunchtime) are provided by the centre.
Money (there is a tuckshop on-site).
Non-Prescription medication
