Learning in Class 2
We had a very busy week last week! We continued learning and writing about Florence Nightingale and in History we looked at primary and secondary sources and what they tell us about Florence's life and impact.
In Science, we continued our work on electricity and made circuits to power a lightbulb. The children loved this and were amazing about making the circuits work. We added in different objects to see if they would work in the circuit and the children were very enthusiastic scientists!
While the Year 1's enjoyed their forest school session, the Year 2's took inspiration from Orla Kiely and William Morris and made their own printed paint pictures using potato shapes. The colours were beautiful and they all took great care with their designs.
