Class 2's amazing week

We have been very busy in class as usual this week, with lots of learning!

In English have been writing poems about friendship. We have spent time reading and listening to poems and understanding how they are structured differently to other types of writing. We have also had lots of conversations about what makes a good friend and how we are good friends to people. The poems the children have written are lovely, and really thoughtful.

We have been counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s in Maths and using to further cement our understanding of number ordering. The children have got very good at ordering numbers and putting the whole class in order depending on the number each child is holding.

In PE the children were learning to pivot and used this to run as many shuttle runs as they could in 45 seconds. We had a wonderful PE lesson in the sunshine.

In RE the children have been learning about how Hindu people worship and they have been exploring the Hindu practice of placing offerings on a plate called a puja plate. The children draw beautiful pictures of puja plates and included the key items a Hindu person would have on theirs.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

Class 2 team
