Class 2's busy week

We have been busy as always in class 2 this week and particularly with our writing. In English we have been writing our voyage and return stories and the children have worked so hard. They have been using their writing skills and growing in independence. It has been lovely to see how enthusiastic they are to keep writing!

In Maths we have been ordering numbers and using our greater than, less than and equal to symbols. The children are embedding their understanding of place value to compare the numbers and put them in order.

We have continued to learn about weather in the UK and explore how the shape and location of the UK affects our weather. The children are able to name the countries of the UK and capital cities.

This afternoon we had the opportunity to buddy up with class 4 for ICT. With their buddy, the children researched internet safety and used the information to make an internet safety poster. The children worked really well together and class 4 were very supportive and helpful to the younger children. Please see the separate blog post for more details and pictures!
