Story Telling

 

Class one have been excited to tell stories. Reception listened to the story of The Little Red Hen and tried to retell the story using actions. Year one have been learning to plan their own four part stories and practised retelling them orally before writing them. In maths, reception have explored weighing things using a balance scale and comparing objects to find the heaviest and lightest. They looked at patterns and repeating patterns and tried to create some of their own. They have also practised, recognising the numbers 1-3 and counting out and matching 1-3 objects. In Geography they have continued to learn about hot and cold places and packed a suitcase of clothes to take to the Arctic.
