Another busy week

This week the children have listened to the story of The Little Red Hen. Reception joined in with retelling the story aloud then used shapes to make the Little Red Hen. Year One created their own story maps then retold the story in writing. Year one have also been planning and writing their own four part stories and completed a reading comprehension activity.

In Maths, Reception have been learning to subitise and represent, 1,2 and 3. They have also explored the concept of finding one more and one less and enjoyed singing the song: Three Little Speckled Frogs. They also used fruits and vegetables to print their own repeating patterns. Year one have been using number bonds to 10, adding and solving addition problems.

We continued with our Autumn theme in dance and worked together to create a firework dance.
