Class 2's busy week

Last week saw Class 2 take to the stage in our fabulous Early Years and Key Stage 1 Nativity. We are so proud of them all for their hard work, confidence, commitment and wonderful singing and acting skills.

Here is a taste of the other wonderful learning we have been doing:

English

Building on our knowledge of the Nativity story, we wrote diary stories from the point of view of Mary and Joseph. We learned the key features of a diary story such a writing in the first person, writing about our feelings and telling a story in the correct order.

History

We have continued our learning on the Great Fire of London and the children have impressed us with their knowledge of how the fire started, why it spread so quickly and the differences between London in 1666 and now. We revisited previous learning on primary and secondary historical sources when learning about Samuel Pepys' diary.
