Class 1 Forest School

Forest School Fun

Class 1 had a fabulous time at Forest School again with everyone enjoying the time spent outside with their friends. Den-building was a big hit today for both groups with some great team-work going on to roll logs and tie up tarps. It involved a lot of trial and error and problem solving too.

The children also had fun challenging themselves on the rope ladder and rope walk building strength and resilience. Lots of children enjoyed the see-saw - taking risks and communicating with each other to stay safe whilst having lots of fun.

As usual there were some delicious and creative things being concocted in the mud kitchen...although sadly no chance to taste test today! The children also tried out their safe whittling technique on some willow which then was turned into various inventive items, including fishing rods and stick men. Some of the reception children tried their hand at making sparks with the flint and steel and were thrilled when they were successful.

Many thanks as always for your support for Forest School. Wishing you all a fantastic week.
