Class 4's Great Week
Class 4's Great Week
This week, Class 4 had an amazing time! We wrote and published balanced debates, presenting strong arguments on both sides. In maths, we mastered dividing 4-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers with confidence. Science was exciting as we explored friction using Newton metres to measure forces. A fantastic week of learning!
Writing
Class 4 has finally published their well-structured debates on whether children should wear school uniforms! With beautifully presented arguments, stunning handwriting, and a real sense of pride in their work, their discussions showcase both sides of the argument. A fantastic display of reasoning and writing skills—well done, Class 4! 🎉
Maths
Class 4 has been mastering division, tackling 4-digit numbers divided by 1-digit numbers—both with and without remainders! The real challenge came when converting remainders into decimals, but with determination and hard work, they conquered it. A fantastic effort in building confidence with numbers, they will be great mathematicians! ➗
Science
In science this week, we learned about friction! We used a Newton meter to measure the force needed to pull our shoes across different surfaces. It was fun seeing how some surfaces needed more force because of higher friction. Our rubber soles had more grip, while smooth surfaces made it easier to slide.
REMINDER - SATs Parents Meeting
Reminder: There will be a SATs parents’ meeting on Friday, 7th February at 3:15pm in Class 4. This is an important opportunity to learn about the SATs process and how to support your child’s success. Please make every effort to attend. Your involvement makes a big difference!
Have a great weekend!
