Year one have been understanding and representing the numbers 11-20 in a variety of ways, including base ten, Numicon and tens frames.
In English, reception have started to apply their phonics to say, write then a check sentence. They have also been trying to include a capital letter and full stop. Year one have been learning about nouns. The children also wrote 6 part stories with a focus on using capital letters for the days of the week.
In Science, reception have been learning about keeping safe when using electricity and year one have been exploring materials and planned and built a structure to withstand wind.
In Design Technology we have explored moving books and in history have been learning about toys from the past.
The children have brought home a toys from the past question sheet, which if at all possible we would like to be completed and brought back in for a discussion next week.
Rhino Readers: There are no codes this week as individual learner logins are currently being created and there will be a new way to access e-books. going forwards. All children have had their levelled books changed this week if they were brought in so please continue to read these at home until the learner log ins are up and running.
