Number Fun

Class one have been singing lots of counting rhymes when learning about one more and one less. We used tens frames and counters and used them to represent numbers. Year one used number lines to count on and add. They also practised making doubles and enjoyed playing a doubling dice game with a partner.

In English the year one children practised using verbs and wrote a recount of Sam bear's day. Reception children practised writing the graphemes: ow and oi and wrote simple sentences with a capital letter and full stop.

In R.E we considered baptism and in History the children continued to think about toys from the past and made comparisons between old and modern toys.
