Class 2's wonderful week
Thank you to everyone who came to our sharing assembly yesterday, the children all did so well!
What a fantastic week we’ve had in Year 2!
In Maths, we are coming to the end of our unit on shape, and today, the children explored creating repeating patterns with shapes.
In English, we focused on using apostrophes to show possession. The children impressed us with their brilliant sentences, demonstrating their understanding of how to show that something belongs to a person or a thing. Well done, Year 2!
In RE, we learned about the 5 Pillars of Islam, exploring the importance of the first pillar, Shahadah, and what it means to Muslim people. The children showed great curiosity and respect as we discussed this important belief.
In Science, excitement is building as we have planned an experiment to find out whether a plant can grow without sunlight. The children are eager to see what will happen, and we can’t wait to observe the results over the coming weeks!
Of course, we’ve also been working on our teamwork and oracy skills as we prepare for our sharing assembly. The children worked so hard, and we are proud of their enthusiasm and dedication.
We finished the week with some lovely shared writing with class 4, which was a joy to see :)
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
