Class 2's wonderful week

What a fantastic week it has been! As you will have seen from the blog, the children have had a wonderful time with Forest School and World Book Day. A huge well done to all parents for the incredible effort with costumes – the children looked absolutely amazing!

In Maths, we have continued working with money. The children are becoming more familiar with different coins and notes, learning how to make given values with increasing confidence.

In RE, we have reached the end of our learning on Islam, and I have been so impressed by the children's engagement and knowledge. Their enthusiasm has amazed so many members of staff, and their recall of key facts has been outstanding!

In English, we are reading two fantastic books, and the children are preparing to write their own narrative stories, sharing news and information about themselves. I can’t wait to see their creativity shine through!

We also had a wonderful PE session in the sunshine today, where the children ran, hopped, and jumped with such enthusiasm.

To finish off the week, we planted some cress seeds for our latest experiment – more on that soon!

Please can we have all PE kits in school next week, thank you.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend in the sunshine :)
