Welcome back Class 2

We’ve had a fantastic week welcoming the children back after the Easter break. We hope you all had a lovely and restful holiday!

This week, we’ve jumped straight into our new units of learning and the children have shown great enthusiasm and focus.

In Maths, we’ve been exploring length and height. The children particularly enjoyed taking their metre rulers outside to measure different objects around the playground—including the shed, the huts, and the netball nets! They worked brilliantly and impressed us with their measuring skills.

In History, we’ve started learning about The Monarchy. We watched a video of King Charles III’s coronation, which sparked some great conversations and curiosity among the children.

In Art, we’ve begun working with clay! The children made some wonderful first models, showing both creativity and confidence in using the tools and materials. We can’t wait to see how their clay work develops in the coming weeks.

In PE, we’ve been playing games that involve moving towards the ball and practising spatial awareness by moving around the hall without bumping into anyone else—quite the challenge, but lots of fun!

As always, it’s been a busy and exciting week of learning.

📌 A quick reminder: our PE days are Thursday and Friday. Please ensure your child has a T-shirt, shorts or joggers, and trainers in school at all times.

Thank you for your continued support.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
