A sunny week in Class 2
We’ve had another busy and creative week in Class 2!
In English, the children have been writing their own versions of our focus text, Little Red and the Very Hungry Lion. They changed some of the characters to their own imaginative ideas and incorporated all the skills we’ve been practising in our English lessons. It has been a real pleasure to read their stories and see just how much they’ve learned and grown as writers.
In Maths, we have finished our learning on fractions. The children are becoming increasingly confident in recognising and finding fractions of shapes and amounts. They have worked incredibly hard on this important part of their maths journey—well done, everyone!
In Art, the children absolutely blew us away with their 3D clay tiles. They were creative, resilient and thoughtful in their sculpting, using techniques such as pinching, smoothing, imprinting and adding texture. Their finished pieces are fantastic, and they can’t wait to bring them home to show you soon!
In Science, we explored food chains, and in Geography, we revisited our knowledge of the United Kingdom. We also spent time in PSHE thinking about how it might feel when a friend or family member has to move away, and how we can support each other during those times.
Well done Class 2!
Have a lovely weekend and keep cool.
