Class 2's sunny week

We’ve had a busy week in Class Two, staying as cool as we can while enjoying the lovely sunshine!

On Tuesday, we were treated to a performance of Key Stage 2’s production of Hercules, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Class Two sat respectfully, listened carefully to the songs and acting, and supported our older pupils brilliantly during their dress rehearsal.

In English, we’ve started our new unit on explanation texts. We are using a fabulous book called The Big Book of Bugs as our example text, and the children are already fascinated by the weird and wonderful world of insects!

We also had a lovely PE afternoon on Thursday, playing team games before enjoying the shade for our afternoon story. The children are developing their teamwork skills, supporting one another, and trying their best—it's been great to see their cooperation and enthusiasm.

Finally, we ended the week with a Friday afternoon treat—a visit from Robyn’s ducklings! The children were gentle and kind with the ducks, who were incredibly cute. A big thank you to Mrs Turner for bringing them into school.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend—stay safe in the sun!
