KS2 Hercules Production – Costume List 

Below is a breakdown of the costumes each character will need. Many of these can be made easily at home using bedsheets, belts, or everyday clothing.

Main Characters

  • Hercules

    • Outfit 1: Greek toga (e.g. white bed sheet & belt)

    • Outfit 2: Roman soldier outfit (armour, cape, helmet – can be improvised)

  • Megara (Meg)

    • Purple dress

  • Zeus

    • Greek toga (white/gold bed sheet & belt)

    • Gold accessories (e.g. crown, cuffs)

  • Hera

    • Gold Greek toga (gold dress, gold bedsheet, or gold scarf)

    • Gold accessories

  • Hades

    • Long black dress or black clothing

  • Phil

    • Brown top and bottoms

    • Horns (school can help make if required)

  • Hermes

    • White Greek toga (bed sheet & belt)

    • Sunglasses

  • Pain

    • All purple clothing

  • Panic

    • All blue clothing

  • The Muses (Calliope & Terpsichore)

    • White toga (bed sheet & belt)

    • Gold accessories

  • The Fates (Atropos, Clotho, Lachesis)

    • All black clothing/dress

  • Amphitryon & Alcmene

    • All brown clothing (dress or top & bottoms)

Monsters/Titans

Feel free to be creative! Use masks, face paint, and DIY costume pieces.

  • Pyros – Lava monster: Red/orange clothing, flame effects

  • Stratos – Twister monster: Grey/silver/white with swirly patterns

  • Cyclops – One-eyed monster: Monster clothing + 1 large eye mask

  • Lythos – Rock monster: Grey/brown clothing, textured like rock

  • Nessus - Large grey centaur - Blue clothing and black shoes

Chorus/Singers/Other Roles

  • Pegasus - White outfit, cardboard wings, yarn mane/tail, headband with ears, silver gloves/shoes, optional glitter, face paint, or small horn (all available to make at school if required).
  • Any colour Greek toga (can be made from bedsheets, blankets, pillowcases)

  • Add a belt or sash if possible


Costume Tips:

  • Toga = Bed sheet + Belt

  • Accessories: Bracelets, headbands, scarves, sunglasses

  • Keep it simple but expressive
