Year 5 Forest School

Year 5 had a wonderful last session of Forest School today. The children spent some time reflecting in nature and using their senses in a mindfulness activity. This week we made Forest School pizzas on the campfire. The children prepared their own pizza and then came to cook it on the campfire. There were lots of happy faces as the children enjoyed eating together.

During the session there was lots of activity on the rope ladder, rope walk and collaboratively on the rope swing. Many of the children also enjoyed crafting with clay and there was more problem solving with some awesome den building.

After some brilliant tidying up where every single child helped and took responsibility to clear and help each other, we took some time in the log circle to reflect. We talked about what we had learnt about ourselves at Forest School and the children shared some character strengths they had or something they were really good at. It was great to hear what the children had got out of their time at Forest School and for them to identify positive traits in themselves.

Wishing you all a wonderful week,

Mrs Rassell
