Year 6 Forest School
Relaxed Forest School
Year 6 were excellent this morning at Forest School and spent the morning exploring, working together, having fun and making memories. We were fortunate enough to have the shade from the trees and a cooling breeze, so we could survive the heat.
The children worked together to put up the hammock and then share it fairly so that everyone could enjoy some relaxation. It seems to be the place for great conversations with friends! We also had some whittling and clay work, which the children then turned into mementoes of their time at school, with fingerprints from the class in the clay and names written on the whittled stick. Some of the children also experimented with some oak gall ink or sketched with our home-made charcoal…I think we have a couple of budding Picassos in our midst!
We finished by sharing what we had achieved including the idea that positive feelings can also be viewed as achievements. It was fantastic to hear what the children chose to share, including memory making and happiness.
Wishing you a wonderful week,
Mrs Rassell
