Class 2's sunny week
We’ve had a fantastic week in Class Two, and we are so proud of how well the children have coped with the heat – they’ve shown great resilience and positivity.
This week, we completed our English unit on explanation texts, and the children amazed us with their creativity. They each wrote their own double-page spread about an imagined bug, including a detailed description, a labelled diagram, and a life cycle. The work they produced looks incredible, and it's clear they’ve really grasped the features of explanation texts. Along the way, we also learned lots of interesting facts about real bugs too!
Sports Day on Thursday was a highlight! The children behaved impeccably and showed wonderful sporting spirit. It was a joy to see them supporting each other, trying their best, and enjoying themselves in the sunshine.
We ended the week with a lovely science lesson all about animals and their offspring. The children always enjoy learning about animals and were eager to build on their existing knowledge with some great discussions and questions.
Wishing you all a relaxing and sunny weekend.
