Class 2's blog

We have had a fun and busy week in class 2. We have continued working on our numbers up to 20 and have started to use number lines to help us. The children have been able to fill in missing numbers and find 1 more and 1 less than a given number. 

In English, we have started to learn about writing instructions.  The children were all given instructions on how to draw a cat which led to some interesting results! The children then took turns to give instructions to a partner - they listened well and really enjoyed the activity. 

We have also been learning a catchy new song about thankfulness so I expect you will hear the song being sung over the weekend.

Finally, we took advantage of the beautiful weather today during our PE lesson. The children loved the introduction to rounders and worked hard to hit the ball and make 'runs'.
