Class 3 Homework

I have been completely wowed by the standard of creative homework that the children have been bringing into school. It has definitely been something that they should feel extremely proud of!

It is also important that the children practice their times tables and read to an adult every day. Reading logs will now be checked on Wednesday instead of a Thursday so please ensure that these are brought into school on this day although everyday would be preferred. If you have misplaced your child's TT Rockstar's login details, please let me know and I will send a new one home for them.

Below is a reminder of Class 3 homework expectations:

Class 3 Homework Expectations

1.    Spelling:

Every week, you will be given 10 spellings to learn which are linked to our spelling teaching for that week. You will be tested on the spelling that you have learnt every Friday.

2.    Creative Homework:

Every half term, you will be given a list of activities to choose from, complete and handed in by the end of that half term.

3.    Times Tables:

You must practise your times tables every day for 10 minutes (or longer) using TT Rockstar’s. You have been given login details for you to access this at home.

At home, you can choose the times tables that you need to practise using the Jamming section of TT Rockstar’s. The order in which times tables should be learnt, are the following: X 2, X 5, X 10, X 3, X 4, X 8, X 6, X 7, X 9, X 11, X 12

When you are confident with a times table you have been learning, move onto the next one.

4.    Reading:

You need to read at home to an adult at least 5 times a week. The adult who has listened to you read at home must write that they have heard you read in your reading record. Your reading record will be looked at every Wednesday.

It is important to read your school book at home to an adult as this is at your reading understanding level.

If you have any worries about your homework, please speak to me as I am happy to help!

Thank you for your continued support,
