Class 5's Brilliant Week

 Class 5's Brilliant Week

This week, Year 6 were brilliant across all subjects! In Bikeability, pupils mastered cycling safely and proudly earned certificates. In ICT, they became “human computers,” passing coded messages through communication channels. In English, they built spooky word banks and designed creepy monsters for their stories. A fantastic week of learning and creativity!

Writing

In English, we have been creating scary and horrible word banks to describe our spooky, creepy monsters. Using these powerful words, we designed our own fantastic, freaky characters ready for our stories. The class loved combining imagination with descriptive language to bring their terrifying creations to life!

Bikeability

Year 6 pupils have successfully completed their Bikeability training, learning road safety, signaling and cycling with confidence. Their hard work and enthusiasm shone through both sessions. Today, they proudly received their certificates for their achievement. We’re proud of their progress and commitment to becoming safe, responsible cyclists.

ICT

In ICT, Year 6 became “human computers,” passing messages and communicating through codes. We played a whispers-style game, sending information through different channels of communication. This helped us understand how computers share data, the importance of accuracy and how small errors can change the whole message. A fun challenge!

Have a great weekend!
