Lots of learning in Class 4
This week in Class 4, we have been working hard to develop our skills in writing a persuasive speech. The children have been learning how to convince others to believe in their argument by using persuasive language and key features to clearly express their opinions. Next week, they will choose their own topic and begin writing a persuasive speech of their own – we can’t wait to hear their ideas!
In Science, we continued our learning on animals and their habitats by moving on to classification. The children learned how to use Venn diagrams to group animals according to their characteristics or habitats.
In History, we have been exploring the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic periods. The children identified the changes that humans went through during these times and how life developed across the different periods.
In PE, we continued our dance and dodgeball units. The children created beautiful solo dances, showing both skill and creativity. Outside, we practised our jumping and ducking skills to prepare for playing effective dodgeball matches.
Finally, in RE, we discussed what an evangelist is and thought carefully about the traits and qualities they would need.
It has been a fantastic week of learning in Class 4 – well done everyone!
