Class 2's blog

 We have had a lovely week in Class 2. In Maths, we have been making part part whole models. The children made these models with multi-link cubes to help them break the numbers down into parts, before moving on to written numbers. We have also been practising our number bonds to 10 which helps with addition and subtraction.

In English, we have been basing our writing on our class book, 'How to make friends with a ghost'. The children loved writing instructions about what disgusting food you should feed your ghost or where to look for your ghost if it hides from you. The children learned about bossy verbs (imperative verbs) to help them write the commands/instructions. 

In RE, the children retold the christian creation story. They have found this story really interesting and we have had a lot of great class discussion about it. 

Finally, in PE, the children worked with partners to create a duet dance. I was impressed with
how creative the children's dance moves were and I was happy with how well they worked together.
