Class 4's wonderful week

This week in Class 4, we’ve been working hard in English on fronted adverbials! The children have been practising this important writing skill and finished the week by creating their own imaginative paragraphs, using a wide range of fronted adverbials to add variety and detail to their writing. Their creativity and effort have really shone through!

In History, we came to the end of our unit on the Iron Age. The children explored what trade was like during this fascinating period. It’s been wonderful to see how much knowledge they’ve gained over the course of this topic.

In PE, we continued developing our dance and dodgeball skills. The children have shown great teamwork, coordination, and energy in both activities.

We ended the week with our classroom worship and then the much-anticipated Halloween disco! The children had a fantastic time and their behaviour was excellent throughout.

A reminder that all children now have reading record books for recording their reading at home. They can note down when they have read to themselves or to an adult. When they read with you, please add a short comment so we can see how well they are progressing with their home reading.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
