Class 5's Fabulous Week
Class 5's Fabulous Week
This week in Class 5 has been fabulous! In RE, we explored courageous advocacy, learning how Christians help others in need and why it is important to stand up for what is right. We also celebrated the Harvest Festival by creating colourful harvest acrostic poems, reflecting on thankfulness and sharing. In English, we worked hard on our handwriting, focusing on neatness and presentation. In PE, we practised our dance using freeze frames inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas and the theme “This is Halloween.” It has been a creative, thoughtful, and energetic week full of learning and fun!
PE
In PE, we worked on our dance inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. Using the theme “This is Halloween,” we practised dramatic freeze frames and experimented with movement to create atmosphere. The children showed creativity and teamwork, developing confidence in performance and enjoying the chance to express themselves through dance.
Harvest Festival
To celebrate the Harvest Festival, we created acrostic poems reflecting on thankfulness, food, and the importance of sharing with others. The children used imaginative vocabulary and colourful presentation to bring their poems to life. This activity reminded us of the value of gratitude and caring for those in need.

Handwriting
Handwriting has been a key focus this week. We practised forming our letters carefully, concentrating on size, joins, and spacing. Everyone worked hard to improve neatness and presentation, taking pride in producing high-quality writing. It has been wonderful to see the children persevere and gain confidence as their handwriting develops.

RE
In RE this week, we explored the idea of courageous advocacy and how Christians show kindness and support to people in need. We discussed examples of charities, helping others, and standing up for justice. To put our learning into action, we carried out litter picking around the school, showing care for our environment and community.
Have a good weekend 😊
