Forest school adventures
We had another wonderful morning of outdoor fun, exploration, and teamwork today. The children are becoming more confident each week — from getting changed independently, to sharing their thoughts in the log circle, to creating their own projects and collaborating with their friends.
Some of the children worked hard on building a treehouse-style shelter using pallets, rope, and tarpaulin. Supported by our adults, they problem-solved together to make it strong and stable, showing fantastic perseverance and cooperation.
Meanwhile, some of the children used spades to safely dig clean soil for use in our mud kitchen. They collected the soil in the wheelbarrows and worked together to move it to the tuff tray, ready to be mixed into glorious mud! There was so much excitement as they stirred, poured, and created — a perfect mix of teamwork, imagination, and sensory exploration.
Others enjoyed imaginative play in the mud kitchen, bug hunting in the woodland, and collecting natural treasures to use in their creations. It’s been inspiring to see their creativity, curiosity, and sense of adventure growing each week.
We can’t wait to see what they’ll discover and build next time!
