Hard work and reflections in Class 4
We have had a busy and reflective week in Class 4. The children contributed beautifully to the school’s Remembrance Service on Tuesday. They wrote moving poems about Remembrance and shared these during the service. The poems have come home today, and the children will no doubt be proud to share them with you.
In English, the class has continued working on our explanation texts unit. The children have been using their own inventions to support their learning, writing clear explanation steps using technical language. They have also written well-structured paragraphs with fronted adverbials, explaining to their readers why their inventions are essential in everyday life.
In PE, we have been creating shapes with our bodies and developing our hockey skills.
In Geography, we have explored how mountains are formed and continued to build our understanding of how the Earth itself was formed.
Homework for this half term has been sent home and is also posted on the blog. We look forward to seeing the children's work.
We are looking forward to seeing the children continue their fantastic efforts next week!
Have a lovely weekend!
