Bake Off!
This week, our school community came together for a very special event: the Tolleshunt D’Arcy Bake Off and Bake Sale, held to raise funds for the Bevan family. The hall was filled with the wonderful smell of freshly baked cakes, cookies, pastries, and sausage rolls as pupils, families and staff proudly displayed their homemade creations. From colourful cupcakes to beautifully decorated celebration cakes, the level of effort and creativity was truly outstanding.
Our judges had the difficult task of choosing winners from each category, as every entry showed such enthusiasm and care. Pupils were excited to share their bakes with friends and many enjoyed explaining the techniques they used or the inspiration behind their designs.
After the judging, the bake sale opened to everyone, and the treats sold quickly. It was heart-warming to see so many people coming together to support a cause so close to our community. The generosity shown - through baking, buying, and donating - will make a meaningful difference to the Bevan family during this challenging time.
A huge thank-you goes to all the families, staff and volunteers who helped organise, bake and run the event. Your kindness and support demonstrate the true spirit of our school.
