Forest School fun
We had a wonderful time in Forest School this week, enjoying the hammock, conkers, den building, and exploring the Forest School area.
Many of the children have shown an interest in using a tool to make a hole through a conker and then thread wool through it to create a necklace. They have been so careful doing this, showing great skill and perseverance.
Some of the boys watched me saw a branch and were keen to have a go themselves. Together, we used the secateurs to trim some smaller branches. Once again, they were careful and used the tools confidently.
We also had a fabulous den created from pallets and covered with tarps. The children loved building dens and shelters using the materials we have on site.
Finally, the children have been enjoying exploring the paths at the edge of Forest School, where they moved a pallet and some large branches to create a new area. It’s wonderful to see them making the space their own.
