Class 5 2026 - Welcome Back!
Welcome to 2026! Class 5 have returned refreshed and ready to learn after a wonderful Christmas break. We have gone straight back into our learning and have been working hard across the curriculum. In maths, we have been revising key skills, recapping past learning and finding angles. During reading lessons, we have been revisiting past papers and practising comprehension skills. Our history lessons have focused on fascinating Egyptian hieroglyphics, while in PE we have been learning about body shapes and how to use them effectively in movement. It has been a busy but brilliant start to the new year!
Maths
In maths, we enjoyed a practical lesson finding different types of angles around the classroom. We spotted right, acute, obtuse and reflex angles on everyday objects. This hands-on activity helped us develop our understanding and made learning engaging and fun for everyone.
PE
In PE, we explored shape categories including animals, household objects and activities. Pupils used their bodies to create different shapes while others tried to guess what they were performing. This fun and active lesson encouraged teamwork, creativity and confident movement.
