Class 2

 In Class 2, we have been very busy over the past few weeks! The children have been completing their maths and reading assessments. Everyone has worked incredibly hard and should be very proud of their efforts.

Our Year 1 children have also taken part in a phonics screening check to help them practise reading both real and alien (nonsense) words. This is a great way for them to build confidence in their phonics skills, and they all approached the challenge with enthusiasm.

Alongside their assessments, the class has been enjoying their Design and Technology project. The children have been working on creating a moving Ferris wheel! They had lots of fun designing their wheels and thinking carefully about how they would work.

The most exciting moment was seeing their designs come to life. The children were amazed when their Ferris wheels successfully spun around the axis. It was wonderful to see their excitement and pride in what they had created.
