Class 2's weekly update

It has been a busy week full of learning, stories, and creativity!

We started the week with a visit from the Two Johns, who came to talk to the children about internet safety. The session was both useful and interesting, and the children learned some important tips about how to stay safe online.

It has also been a week filled with stories. We were very lucky to welcome the author Karen Noller, who visited to share one of her books with us. She also talked about the inspiration behind her writing, which the children loved.

In R.E., we learned about the story of the Prodigal Son, which carries a powerful message about forgiveness and kindness towards others. The children enjoyed discussing the meaning behind the story and thinking about how its message can apply to our own lives.

As we prepare for World Book Day, we have been reading The Tale of Two Shoes. After exploring the story together, the children used their imaginations to design their own magical shoes. They then wrote some fantastic and creative pieces of writing inspired by their designs. It was wonderful to see so many imaginative ideas come to life!

Overall, it has been a lovely week of learning, storytelling, and creativity in the classroom. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
