Class 3 World Book Day

Class 3 had a fantastic World Book Day celebrating their love of reading and books! 📚✨ The children all looked absolutely fantastic in their wonderful World Book Day costumes, and it was lovely to see so many creative characters brought to life.

This week, the children have been enjoying the story A Tale of Two Shoes by Helen Haraldsen, exploring themes of kindness, empathy, and the excitement of setting off on new adventures.

During the day, the children designed and named their very own pair of shoes, letting their imaginations run wild as they thought about the adventures their shoes might go on. The classroom was full of creativity as the children stepped into the role of real authors! They wrote their own imaginative stories using the shoe characters they had created and then turned their work into their very own books, complete with a front cover, illustrations, and a blurb.

Your child has brought their book home to share with you, and we hope you enjoy reading their wonderful creations together.

The class also loved singing along to a World Book Day song and made the most of the beautiful sunshine by enjoying some outdoor story time.

It has been a joyful day filled with creativity, storytelling, and a celebration of the magic of books! 📖✨
