Class 4's week of learning

This week the children have been busy completing assessments to showcase their learning and progress. We are very proud of how hard they have worked and the perseverance they have shown while completing these tasks. These assessments help us to celebrate what the children can do and also allow us to identify any areas where we may need to provide some further teaching and support.

In English, we have begun bringing together all of our learning and planning to start writing our portal stories. The children have been developing so many wonderful writing skills throughout this unit, and we are really looking forward to reading the imaginative stories they create.

The children have also been showing their creative sides during some of our afternoon activities this week. They have been busy making special Mother’s Day crafts and have also been designing their own cars in DT, so there has certainly been lots of creativity in the classroom!

Finally, it was a pleasure to see so many parents and carers at our parents’ consultation evening. Thank you very much for your continued support – it is always lovely to have the opportunity to talk with you about the children’s progress.
