Year 6 SATs 2026 Guide for Parents, Carers and Guardians

As we approach the Year 6 SATs at D’Arcy School, we would like to share some helpful guidance from Third Space Learning to support your child at home (the link is attached below). The blog highlights that consistent practice, confidence building, and a calm approach are key to success.

Rather than focusing only on test papers, children benefit from a mix of revision techniques such as short daily practice, revisiting key topics, and using fun activities to keep learning engaging. Regular opportunities to practise skills and apply knowledge help pupils feel more prepared and less anxious.

Over the half term, children should continue working through their “10 for 10” revision packs. These short, focused activities are designed to build confidence and reinforce key skills in manageable chunks. Alongside this, it is just as important that children take time to relax, have fun, and get plenty of rest so they feel refreshed and ready to learn.

At D’Arcy School, we are proud of the children’s hard work and will continue to support them every step of the way. Thank you for your ongoing support at home.
