Class 4's great week
We have started new units in our foundation subjects, including our topic on Forces in Science. Alongside learning about the life and work of Sir Isaac Newton, we carried out an experiment to investigate whether the mass of a ball affects the speed at which it falls when dropped. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity, and the classroom was full of chatter, ideas, and thoughtful suggestions.
In English, we have been recapping our learning on plural nouns and possessive apostrophes. This morning, the children completed an ambitious task to correct a piece of text. It was challenging, but they applied the rules we have learned and showed great resilience and perseverance.
In Maths, we are continuing our learning on fractions. The children are growing in confidence when discussing improper fractions and are increasingly willing to take part in class discussions and problem-solving activities.
Well done, everyone!
