After school clubs week 21.4.26
Sports and dance club: In this school sports club session, children explored dance by learning how to sequence movements and match them to the tempo and rhythm of a song. They practised combining simple steps into short routines, focusing on timing, coordination, and flow.
Art Club: In this school art club session, children explored the work of Roy Lichtenstein and learned about his bold, comic book–inspired style. They looked at how he used bright colours, thick outlines, and Ben-Day dots to create striking images. The children then created their own artworks inspired by his techniques, using simple drawings and adding patterns and speech bubbles.
Gardening club: In this school gardening club session, children worked together to prepare a vegetable patch by digging and turning the soil. They learned how to use basic gardening tools safely and discussed why loosening the soil helps plants grow. The group removed weeds and stones, making the area ready for planting.
Drama Club: In this school drama club session, children explored the theme of surprise through drama activities and games. They practised using facial expressions, body language, and voice to show different types of surprise, from excitement to shock. The group created short improvised scenes where unexpected events occurred, helping them develop quick thinking and creativity.
