A busy week in Class 4
This week has been slightly different for us as we supported Year 6 during their SATs. We were very calm and quiet and adapted to a few changes in our usual routines.
On Wednesday, we enjoyed a whole-school Forest School session. Everyone was busy building and working hard on a variety of projects. The children played in the mud kitchen, built dens, explored the woodland area.
In English, we have started our new unit where we will be writing non-fiction reports all about play. This links well with our History topic on how children’s leisure time has changed over the years. The children have enjoyed discussing different types of play, how play makes them feel, and the many benefits of playing.
We have also been learning about healthy lifestyles in PSHE, followed by a fun whole-school PE session led by Joe Wicks!
In Science, we investigated friction and discussed whether it can be an advantage or disadvantage in different situations.
Well done to all of the children for being so supportive and resilient this week.
