Class 2's blog
We have had another great week in Class 2!
In Maths, we have been learning all about fractions. The children practised making halves by carefully folding shapes into two equal parts. Once they were confident with halves, they moved on to finding quarters by finding half and then half again. Everyone worked really hard and did a fantastic job understanding this new concept. It has been lovely to see their confidence growing throughout the week.
In English, we have started writing our own set of instructions about how to wash a lion! The children have absolutely loved imagining how to wrestle a lion into the bath and give his huge mane a good shampoo. We have seen some wonderfully creative ideas and lots of fantastic descriptive writing. There have certainly been plenty of giggles along the way!
We have also started using clay in our art sessions. The children had a great time exploring the clay, making models, and creating different patterns and textures. It has been wonderful to see their creativity shine through as they experimented with their ideas.
Well done to everyone for another brilliant week in Class 2!
