Class 3 Lunchtime Adventures in Nature

Class 3 have been making the most of the beautiful warm weather during lunchtimes, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm for the outdoors grow each day. The children have been embracing nature by designing and building their very own bug hotels, carefully creating cosy spaces for insects and mini beasts to explore and settle into.

The excitement has continued as the bug hotels have welcomed some very special new residents! The class have loved observing and caring for their tiny visitors, even giving them some fantastic names. So far, we have met:

  • Caterpillar Jimmy – our baby caterpillar
  • Greeny – a bright green spider
  • Mr Cool Dudes – the busy ants
  • Bimble Mc Bumble – a fascinating bimble bug
  • Mrs Lady Bird – our lovely ladybird

The children have shown fantastic curiosity, teamwork, and creativity while learning about the natural world around them. It has been lovely to hear their discussions, observations, and imaginative stories about the creatures they discover each day.
