Class 4's week of learning

This week, we have further developed our persuasive letter writing skills, deciding on causes and topics that we could write about. We have continued to take inspiration from Malala and Greta Thunberg to support our learning.

In history, we are really enjoying learning about the changes in children’s lives throughout time. This week, we explored the life and work of Lord Shaftesbury and the impact he had on improving the lives of children.

In PSHE, we discussed our talents and what makes each of us unique. We talked about how talents are developed through hard work and practice, and celebrated what makes us amazing individuals.

In computing, we have been learning about data collection and sensors. We collected our own data on noise levels around the school over a period of time and are looking forward to recording and analysing this data further.

In science, we moved on to learning about water resistance. We carried out an experiment to test how different shapes of Blu Tack affected the time it took to fall through water.

As always, it has been a busy week full of learning and new experiences.

Enjoy the long weekend!
