Class 5's Build-Up to SATs Week!
Class 5's Build-Up to SATs Week!
Class 5 have been working incredibly hard this week as they prepare for their SATs. Everyone has shown a fantastic attitude towards revision and has been trying their very best in every lesson. To make revision more exciting and enjoyable, we have been playing fun learning games to build confidence and practise important skills.
One of our favourite activities was a maths reasoning version of Traitors. Children had to solve problems carefully while deciding whether someone was trying to trick them with the wrong answer! This helped everyone improve their checking skills, reasoning and confidence when explaining answers.
We also completed a brilliant escape room and mystery challenge linked to SPaG, spelling, arithmetic and reasoning. The children worked together to solve clues, answer questions and unlock each stage of the challenge. It was wonderful to see such teamwork, determination and resilience. Class 5 should feel very proud of all their hard work this week!
Escape Room
The escape room challenge was a fantastic way to practise SATs skills in a fun and exciting environment. The children solved clues linked to SPaG, spelling, arithmetic and reasoning while working together as a team. Everyone showed determination, resilience and excellent problem-solving skills to complete each challenge successfully.
Reasoning Traitors
Our Traitors maths reasoning game was a huge success! The children solved tricky reasoning questions while trying to work out who might be giving incorrect answers. This encouraged everyone to think carefully, check their calculations and explain their reasoning clearly. It was a fun way to build confidence, accuracy and teamwork skills.
Have a lovely weekend, see you Monday for Breakfast Club! 🍳
