Forest School fun for Year 5

Year 5 returned to Forest School today, full of energy, eager to get back to their builds and creations. They got straight to work moving pallets, digging holes, stringing ropes, and tying knots – they were extremely busy throughout the session!

We enjoyed a fire again today. The children made their own pizza wraps, choosing their toppings and patiently waiting by the fire as they cooked. Everyone enjoyed their outdoor snack!

Some of the children came with clear ideas of what they wanted to create using sticks and natural materials. They confidently asked for different tools and support when needed. It was fantastic to see them bringing their own ideas to life and applying the skills they have been developing to create their own unique inventions.

The children are learning to work together, solve problems, and connect with the natural environment in meaningful ways 🌿🔥
