Year 1 Forest School fun
It was a pleasure, as always, to have the children in Forest School this week. They were keen to continue their den building and tree climbing, and they voted for a rope walk to be set up rather than a swing. Once it was ready, they were all excited to show off their balancing skills. The children are climbing confidently now and are really enjoying pushing themselves a little further each week.
One of our parent helpers kindly brought along some log pieces, lard, and seeds so the children could make bird seed cookies. The children loved this activity, carefully making a hole in the wood to thread the wool through for hanging, spreading the lard onto the wood, and sprinkling it with delicious seeds for the birds to enjoy. Thank you so much for providing this activity for us, and well done to the children for their creativity and care.
As always, food around the fire was high on the agenda for the children, and they thoroughly enjoyed making their own wrap pizzas.
