Class 3 Solar Oven Results

 After much anticipation, Class 3 finally tested their solar ovens! They discovered that the most effective design was the solar oven with tin foil on both the top and underneath the lid of the shoebox. In second place was the oven with tin foil on the inside of the lid only, closely followed by the oven that used plain white paper instead of tin foil on the inside of the lid.

The children carefully wrote their methods, recorded their results, and evaluated whether their predictions were correct, explaining the reasons behind their findings. They have had a fantastic learning experience during this scientific enquiry and have thoroughly enjoyed discovering how solar ovens work and how the Sun's energy can be harnessed for heating.
