Class 2's weekly blog
Another hot week at school! The children have coped brilliantly with the high temperatures and have continued to work hard despite the warm weather.
In Maths, we explored how to measure temperature. The children learned about degrees Celsius (°C) and practised reading thermometers. They really enjoyed applying their new knowledge and thinking about how temperature changes throughout the day. We also looked at how temperature changes throughout the year.
In English, we have now finished writing our superhero stories. The children came up with some wonderfully imaginative ideas about the chaos their villains created and the exciting ways their superheroes saved the day. It has been fantastic to see their creativity shine through, and they should all feel very proud of their finished stories.
We have lots of fun and engaging activities planned for next week and are hoping for slightly cooler weather so we can enjoy them even more!
As we come towards the end of the school year, please could you send your child in with a carrier bag? They will be bringing home their books so they can share all of the wonderful work they have completed throughout the year with you.
