What an Amazing Start in Willow!
πΏ What an Amazing Start in Willow! πΏ
What an amazing few days we have had in Reception! I am so incredibly proud of how wonderfully the children in Willow Class have settled into school life. π
Today, the children did an amazing job when we had our packed lunches. It was fantastic to see so much independence and resilience as they managed their lunch boxes, opened their food and enjoyed eating together. They were also talking so confidently with their friends and adults, which was lovely to see.
We have also started sharing our special boxes with the class. Some children have confidently talked about the special things, people, places and activities that are important to them. It has been wonderful getting to know a little more about each child and hearing them share their stories with such enthusiasm.
If your child has not yet had the opportunity to share their box, don't worry! They will get their chance next week, and we can't wait to hear all about their special things too. π
The children have also been enjoying exploring our outdoor provision, discovering all the exciting things they can do and making new friends along the way. We have been encouraging them to have a go, try new things and show resilience when something feels tricky.
We have also been busy creating some special memories of our first days at school. The children drew pictures of themselves on their first day and made a handprint, which will be lovely to look back on as the year progresses.
It has been such a pleasure watching the children grow in confidence over just a few short days. They have shown independence, resilience, curiosity and kindness, and I couldn't be more proud of them.
Well done, Willow Class! What an amazing start to your Reception journey! πΏπ
